Come, those of you who are on your journey into grief. You are never alone. There is always someone who has "been there" and knows what you are going through. I am a mom who is surviving the suicide of my firstborn one day at a time. Power in Praise: "Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me and I shall be saved, for You are my praise." Jaie is the youngest child of 3. He has an older brother and sister. He has left behind a loving fiancée and beautiful little girl. He has grandparents who adore him. Aunts and uncles who think he is the cutest ‘big kid’ you could find. Jaie was loved very much. Jaie still is loved just the same. Jaie was only 2 days past his 22nd birthday when he reached the limit of his abilities to cope with the pain and torment happening inside his head and heart. Jaie had untreated Bipolar (II we believe). Jaie was an active and energetic character. Always up for a laugh. Always wanting to explore. He never changed from this as he grew into early adulthood. He was pure energy. He was a devoted dad. And fiancé. Best mates with his older brother. And always knew his sister would have his back no matter what. These kids were a team. Jaie loved soccer and fishing when he was little. He grew out of the soccer but his love of fishing remained. And a new passion … Four wheel driving. He loved mud! As a little boy and as an adult :). If Jaie was your friend he showed you what loyalty and friendship was. Family. And for Jaie, family was everything!!! Jaie had tried several different areas of employment. He simply never seemed to ‘click’ with any of them. Until he tried scaffolding. He loved it. Jaie studied and trained whenever possible to get the necessary tickets and qualifications to enable him to get his intermediate scaffolding ticket. Only 3 weeks after Jaie had obtained his intermediate scaffolding ticket, he was gone.
